Synopsis of Weekend Events at the Old Mill
Sunday, Sun, Oct. 6th at 2 pm in the Old Mill Banquet Hall,the Dundee High School Fall Sports Connection-Pep Assembly, History of Sports, Coaches and Team Members from the Past to Present.
John Moskwa, long time teacher, sports supporter, school event and community enthusiast, lead the nostalgic trip back through Dundee School Sport History. John's guests were in a semi-circle forum and consisted of three retired coaches, Pat Rigel (Started Swimming), Lu Ann Sedler (Started Volley Ball), Craig Ringbloom, current Cross Country Coach and Dundee Cross Country Alumni, Doug Jennings,(coached more than football), current football coach Kyle McElvany and 2019 football players and Tom Oestrike, Dundee Athletic Director.
Time line for formation of the first teams for each fall sport were revisited with highlights of each sport including: Starting year, records, interesting facts about teams and players and how the sports and the rules changed over the years. Dundee has produced more than a few sports atheletes to fill positions at different colleges and has had state finishers in multiple sports.
